This page says what gets collected, where it goes and how long it's kept. It's short because it needs to be read, not filed. If anything here isn't clear, ring me and ask.
Who this is
Trade Boost. Run by Jake, on his own, out of Brisbane. I work across Brisbane and South East Queensland.
Email jake@tradeboost.com.au. Mobile 0400 000 000.
This website
The site is a set of static pages. There's no login, no account, no tracking pixel and no analytics. The fonts are served from this site rather than from someone else's, so reading the page doesn't tell a third party you were here.
Three things do collect something.
- Server logs. The site is hosted by Vercel. Every page request leaves a line in Vercel's logs — an IP address, the browser, the page asked for and the time. That's Vercel keeping the site up and fending off abuse. I don't use those logs to work out who anyone is.
- The booking form. Every “Book a free audit” button opens a calendar run by Cal.com. What you type into it — your name, your email address, and whatever else that form asks for — goes to Cal.com and comes back to me as a booking. I use it to run the audit and to follow it up afterwards. Nothing else.
- Ringing or emailing me. If you use my mobile or my email address, I've got your number or your address and whatever you told me. My mobile isn't recorded. The demo number is — that's the next section.
The missed-call calculator doesn't send anything anywhere. It runs in your browser, the numbers stay in your browser, and nothing is stored or logged. Change them as much as you like.
The site sets no cookies of its own. The booking calendar is a different matter. Its software is loaded from Cal.com, and only on the front page — the page you're reading now doesn't ask Cal.com for anything. On the front page your browser fetches that file whether or not you open the calendar, so Cal.com sees your IP address and your browser in that request. It can set its own cookies too. Those are Cal.com's, and their privacy policy covers them.
The demo number
The number on this site is answered by an AI receptionist. It's a live demo. Ring it and you're talking to software.
The AI tells you that at the start of the call, and it tells you the call is recorded. If you'd rather not be recorded, don't ring it — or hang up when it says so.
What a demo call captures:
- The audio of the call.
- A written transcript of it.
- The number you rang from, unless you've withheld it.
- The time the call came in and how long it ran.
What it's for: answering you while you're on the phone, and letting me listen back afterwards to find what the AI got wrong and fix it. That's the whole list. A demo call doesn't put you on a mailing list, and I won't ring you back off the back of one unless you ask me to.
Recordings and transcripts from the demo line are kept for 90 days and then deleted.
Want yours gone sooner? Email jake@tradeboost.com.au with the number you rang from and roughly when you rang. I'll delete the recording and the transcript and tell you it's done.
If I've built you a receptionist
The call data is yours. Recordings, transcripts, summaries, the lot — the same as the website, the domain and the number. I handle it for you and on your say-so, not for my own purposes. I don't sell it, and it isn't used to train anything.
Your callers get told the same thing mine do: they're speaking to an AI, and the call is recorded. That disclosure goes on before the line does, and it stays on.
How long your call data is kept, and where it sits, is set for your business and written down before the line goes live. If you stop working with me you take the data with you, and I delete my copies.
Who else touches it
- Vercel — hosts the site and keeps the server logs.
- Cal.com — runs the booking calendar and holds what you put in it. Its software loads on the front page, so if you land there it sees a request from your browser whether you book or not.
- Call handling and transcription providers — the phone network that carries the call, and the software that turns speech into text, works out the reply and speaks it back.
Nobody else gets your information, and none of it is sold. Some of these are overseas businesses, mostly in the United States, so information can be handled outside Australia.
Getting a copy, fixing it, deleting it
Email jake@tradeboost.com.au or ring 0400 000 000. You can ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it if it's wrong, or ask me to delete it. I'll come back to you within 30 days. I may need to ask a question or two first to be sure you're you.
Complaints
If you think I've mishandled your information, tell me first — email or the mobile above. I'll look into it and come back to you. If you're not happy with how I handle it, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes
If what the system does changes, this page changes with it. The date at the top says when it last did.
